Lemon thyme is an evergreen semi-shrub from the labiate genus. It reaches heights of 10-30 cm and has a very strong lemon scent. Lemon thyme originally comes from Spain and France and is now often used as an ornamental plant for rock gardens or planters.
Cooking tip: Put a sprig of lemon thyme in a bottle of good olive oil and leave to infuse for 14 days. You do not need to remove the sprig of lemon thyme, as the oil becomes more intense with each week.
